Heather's Tummy Tuck

Updated 8/28/2007

9 Months After

It has been nine months since my surgery.  I really could not be more pleased.  My tummy is flat.  My belly button looks completely natural.  There is no more hanging skin.  The scar gets lighter every day.  Even if it didn’t, it is covered by any bathing suit or panties.  My goal was to look better in my clothes, but I got so much more.  I never thought I would be able to wear a bikini again.  This weekend my family and I went to the beach and I wore a 2-piece bathing suit and had nothing to be embarrassed about.  My husband has always been “loving”, but now he can hardly keep his hands off me.

I am so happy I chose Dr. Pousti as my doctor.  Everyone at the office is kind and friendly.  The whole experience was easy.  Recovery was fast.  I had absolutely no problems. I would recommend Dr. Pousti to anyone considering surgery (and I do).

5 1/2 Months Later

Hello,
Sorry, I have really been neglecting my blog.  I have just been busy.  I keep meaning to update, but don’t get around to it.  My tummy tuck looks better every day.  I feel like the scar is really fading for being less than six months old.  This whole experience has been easier than I could have imagined.  I never had any real pain or problems.  I seem to have healed very quickly.  I would definitely recommend Dr. Pousti to anyone considering a Tummy Tuck.  I think the results speak for themselves.  My before pictures look like I have a tumor or something hanging off the front of me and I had to wear very long shirts to hide the roll of skin.  My hope was to just have a body that was normal and looked ok in clothes.  I can say now that I really underestimated what could be done.  I feel like the results look better than normal.  Not only do I feel like I look good in my clothes, I am happy with the way I look out of my clothes.  I have worn a two piece bathing suit for the first time in 15 years.  Its terrific!!! I will try to update the pictures sometime this week.
Till next time...

5 Weeks

Its only five weeks and I feel wonderful.  I am starting to stand up and look human again.   The incision is healing nicely and the scar seems minimal to me.  It will continue to get better and better.  I am still swollen, but I look 500% better than before.  Each day the swelling gets less and less.  Still no pain and no problems.  Dr. Pousti is the best doctor in the world.  Even if it didn’t get any better than it is today, I would be SOOO PLEASED!!!

25 Days

No complaints.  Everything is pretty much the same as last time.  I am looking forward to standing up straight, getting the tubes out and sleeping through the night.  These however are small prices to pay!  I will write again when there is more news.

18 Days- and Feeling Good

I went back to work today.  I will be taking half days this week.  I went to the doctor today and everything is healing well.  I would definately recommend Dr. Pousti to anyone who wants plastic surgery.  Everything has gone smoothly and it is going to turn out really well.  I am so pleased with the results already!!!  Life is good!

Eleven Days and Counting

Everything is going great.  I have less pain and have reduced my pain medication.  I think I am healing well.  The worst part is not being allowed to drive and my back hurts if I walk without my walker.  (The no shower thing sucks too).  I paid a barber to wash my hair, so that feels better.  Recovery has been very easy.  I only hate not being able to go places on my own, or reach things that are too high, etc.  Everyone has been very helpful, so I really cant complain.  I have my second post op doc appt today, so i will find out how everything is going.  I will update again soon.

Surgery was 6 days ago

My Surgery was Friday November 17th.  Today is day 6.  The first three days were hell, just out of it and in pain off & on.  Monday & Tuesday were great, felt good.  Went shopping Wednesday.  Standing and walking is harder than it looks, but it was still great!!!
